Much Wants More ist ein Kurzfilm, der die Fragilität von Ökosystemen thematisiert. Der Film nimmt die Zuschauer*in mit auf eine Reise in eine längst vergangene Welt und zeigt, wie sich das Leben der Gabonionti (ausgestorbene Lebewesen vor 500 mio. Jahren) entwickelt haben könnte.
Um die fiktive Welt für Zuschauer*innen greifbar zu machen wurde die Erzählung mittels Stop-Motion-Technik filmisch umgesetzt. Handgefertigte Kreaturen aus Japanpapier spiegeln die Zerbrechlichkeit der natürlichen Strukturen wider und helfen dabei, Empathie für die Figuren zu empfinden. Der Zugang zu Licht spielt, als wichtige Ressource aller Lebewesen, eine zentrale Rolle. Solange dieser für alle gewährt ist, bleiben die verschiedenen Arten mit sich und ihrer Umwelt im Gleichgewicht - bis ein unerwartetes Ereignis eintritt und das sich in Balance befindende System aus dem Lot bringt. In diesem Projekt wird das unersättliche Streben nach Expansion behandelt, und wie das Verhalten eines Individuums und die damit verbundenen Kettenreaktionen ein ganzes System verändern können.
